2011 WCA Nationals - Day 1

May 15, 2011. The first day of the Nationals started at the hunt and ratings tests. I didn’t have Sawyer entered because he already has his Junior Hunter (JH) and Novice Shooting Dog (NSD) titles. We’re still training for his Senior Hunter. But little sister Prada stepped in and earned her NSD title and her 3rd Junior Hunter leg.

Prada was a wild thing when she got back from the NSD run.

Prada was a hunting machine in the field.

She almost caught a bird.

She really had a good time chasing the birds after she found them.

Three legs down, one to go for Prada’s Junior Hunter title.

Barb came down from Canada for the Nationals. We were very glad to see her and Desi.

Desi patiently waiting for his NSD run. What a good time to practice stays....or hope mom gives me a slice of that orange.

Desi also did well in the field and got his NSD which earned him a WCA Versatile Rating.
