Whelping Day

Sharon began showing her first sign on Thursday, Feb 18th. But just like the last time she held out until the next day and didn't have her first pup until 1:35pm on Friday, February 20, 2010. It was baby girl Pink weighing in at 13oz.

The next girl didn't arrive until 4:14pm. Red weighed in at 13.5 oz.

Shortly thereafter girl #3 arrived at 4:28pm and Yellow girl was 13.75oz. Mom was already tired and we were only on puppy #3!

Girl #4 was delivered very quickly at 6:10pm. Purple girl was 10.75oz.

All during the day, big brother Sawyer was anxiously waiting and wondering what the heck was going on.  I just love his facial expression!

Another girl arrived at 6:44pm. Nadine was hoping for a choice for girls but this is ridiculous. Where are the boys?? Our big girl Orange weighed in at 14.75oz.

Finally, the boy has arrived! Last but not least…ok he was the smallest in weight at 10.5 oz. Boy Blue makes his debut at 7:42pm. Notice the girls have shunned him already. He’s in for a long 8 weeks with all these ladies.
