Daisy: Days 14 - 20 and Superbowl Party

February 5, 2011.
Daisy is two weeks old today.

February 6, 2011.  Today is Superbowl Sunday.  Time for the annual Ostrander party.

Prior to the festivities, Prada was in Wildwood earning her Championship, just shy of her first birthday!  She's the first champion out of our Seinfeld litter.  She is now CH Quantrel N Ashbrooke Yada Yada Yada.

Our official party mascot.

The annual cake, which correctly represents the teams.

Daisy: Days 7 - 13

January 29, 2011.

Daisy is 1 week old today.  I think she seems so much smaller because it's just her in the whelping box.

Still lovin' the Snuggle Kitty.

January 31, 2011.
You can hardly see her buried in the Snuggle Kitty.

Eyes are starting to open.

We have peepers by the end of the day.

Look at the size of this woobie from Pat Sarles.
I know she'll grow into it.

High five!

She already has the Ashbrooke stretch.

Daisy: Days 1 - 6

January 23, 2011.  After a rough first day and recouping from the anesthesia, Mom and Daisy are doing well.

Sawyer looks on to make sure Daisy and Mom are doing ok.

Daisy and Mom seem to be fitting together well.

Bat ears.

Daisy loves to eat, good thing she has the food all to herself.

Someone is hiding.

Look at my new tail.

Mom's paws make a good pillow too.

Long day makes for a sleepy Daisy and Mom.

New Arrival

We were expecting a litter and on January 22, 2011 we welcomed the arrival of our singleton, Daisy.  She was born via emergency c-section but both Sharon and Daisy thrived.  Super thanks to Bobbie Wood who came over in the middle of the night to help whelp the litter and stayed with us through the emergency room visit.

Here she is soon after being born.

Mom and daughter recovering.

Nothing a little snuggling can't cure.

She's quite the handful.

Weims in the Snow

Well it's been a long time since we posted so I'm going to try to do some catch up.  It was a long cold winter and we're still waiting for signs of spring.

This winter we were slammed here in the Northeast with snowstorm after snowstorm.

Ruby says, please don't make me go out there.

But she seemed to have fun.

Xena says, "Let me back in!"

But then decides that snow is yummy.

Football Weekend

January 8-9, 2011.  NFL Playoffs, the season is winding down so we have to take advantage of any time we can watching football with the family.

Everyone shows their team support.  Sharon cheered the Jets onto victory.

Brooke doesn't look as excited to wear the hat but she was very pleased when the Jets won!

Brooke had to look away when Michael Vick and the Eagles were on.

She couldn't bare to watch when there was a chance they would come from behind.

Phew!  The Eagles lost and Greenbay was victorious!!

Outside the deer could care less about the football games and were enjoying the peacefulness while the dogs were in the house.
